About Women's Ministries

Mission Statement

To reach the lives women and girls by the transforming power of Jesus Christ, discipling them to follow His example and training them to minister to others.

Ministry Vision

MISSION VISION provides an avenue whereby women in the local church can help meet the volume of missions and ministry needs presented to the District Women's Ministries Department.

Gifts for MISSION VISION can be given monthly, quarterly or annually. However, all gifts should be received by November 30 of each year so disbursement can be made by the end of the year.

Mission Vision includes but is not limited to:

Foreign Missions

Emergency needs, Christmas, welcome-home gifts, household appliance fund, and ministries such as: Care Center in Ethiopia, Operation Rescue, Europe's Gypsy Children, etc.


Operational / Promotional Expense

Over the past years, Michigan women:

  • Donated funds to build 3 churches in Kenya
  • Gave $10,000 toward the building of a women's training center in Benin, West Africa
  • Provided major household equipment for missionaries in Argentina
  • Purchased new computers for the Michigan Chi Alpha ministers
  • Gave funds for household equipment for Michigan home missionaries
  • Donated toward the building of the Ethiopia Care Center
  • Raised funds to equip the kitchen of the future Bible school in Kosova
  • Annually purchases subscriptions to the Women's Touch magazine for the Michigan women's prisons
  • Purchased playground equipment for the Assemblies of God, Michigan District campgrounds
  • Redecorated and equipped the nurseries at both Assemblies of God , Michigan District campgrounds
  • Annually provides clothing for the children of home missions pastors
  • Provides a substantial "welcome-home" gift for foreign missionaries returning to the United States on furlough
