Children are of great importance to God and His church.  Effective ministry to today’s children must be accomplished in ways that differ from the past.  Our fast-paced and ever changing life style demands that we stay relevant and current in order to reach today’s children.

 

The creation of the Michigan Kids Leaders Network (The Network) will make it possible to improve ministry to children and their leaders in the Michigan District.  The Network will work along side those already giving leadership to Royal Rangers, M-Pact Girls (Missionettes), Junior Bible Quiz, (JBQ), Kids Camps, Kids Fine Arts Festival, Winter Blast, Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade (BGMC) as well as Kids Quest and Character Connex and other ministries to children. 

 

Let me take this opportunity to introduce you to The Network!  Following is our purpose and leadership team.

 

Statement of Purpose:

The Michigan Kids Leaders Network (The Network) is committed to providing helpful and creative resources for those who serve children in the church. Our goal is to give effective insight and mentoring as we encourage greatness. We want to provide relevant kid focused events as well as outstanding network opportunities. Our hope is to foster and develop relationships that will include every church and every children’s ministry leader.

Let me urge you to put those who lead ministry to children in your church in touch with us so that The Network can serve them well. Second, The Network is sponsoring a children’s ministry leadership retreat on October 3-4, 2008.  Specific information will follow shortly but encourage your leaders to set the dates aside and plan on attending.  It will be worth it!
